PO'ed Strategy Guide
General hints:
Killing aliens
Fire any long distance projectile weapon into a long hallway
filled with aliens, then back up steadily. The aliens will shoot
themselves.
Meat seeker
Use the meat seeker to "program" pool shots, aiming
for aliens like billiard balls off pool table cushions.
Low health
When very low in health, switch to the frying pan or butcher
knife. The aliens can be killed with one hit.
Killing blobs
Turn off the jetpack and jump when the slimers shoot. Use
the small laser gun, since it has a long range. Shoot at one individual,
and when it multiplies, hit each duplicate.
Secrets:
Viewing your character
Use the missile cam and fire a missile, fly it out for a few
hundred feet, turn it sharply by using Left and Right,
and send it back at Ox. This is the only way of viewing him in
the game.
Elvis
Elvis can be found in the corner of the slaughterhouse hanging
from a hook in the High Rise level. A wall teleporter must
be used to find this room.
Star Trek
The words "He's dead Jim!" can be found above a
doorway inside the spaceship in the Shuttle Bay level.
Level hints:
Pompous
Items
The frying pan is the default weapon at the start of the game.
The butcher knife and health power-ups can be found in the teleporter
area.
Jump
Items
A laser pistol can be found in one of the radioactive pits
on the side that Ox enters the level. The jetpack is in the catwalk
area in the center air shaft structure in a floating translucent
yellow box. It is visible from the ground, rotating.
The switch along the left side from the starting point starts
one of the big blocks along the middle of the area moving up and
down slowly. The moving block is located next to one of the platforms
with the ladder. Jump up from the platform to reach the sky walk.
Find a bridge that has a hole in the middle. Jump in the hole
to get the jetpack. This will allow Ox to fly to the teleporter.
An easier way to get to the sky walks is to use the purple flashing
teleporter located in one of the corners.
Exit
The footprints besides the teleporter are a method to reach
the teleporter without the jetpack. Stand on the footprints in
the direction they are facing to make a bar with a red flying
cone appear in the distance. Hit the object with the laser or
the knife until it turns green. This deactivates the equivalent
flying red cones that are blocking the path to the teleporter.
Do this for each of the four footprints to turn off all the cones.
An alien may appear when Ox steps on the footprints. After this
is done, Ox can walk across the death pit to the teleporter.
The final teleporter can also be reached by turning on turbo-move
mode (e.g., sneakers instead of feet) and jumping across the death
pit.
Sponge
Items
There is another jetpack, a laser pistol, and a BFD-90 on
this level. To find the jetpack and BFD-90, go to the bottom of
the first area. Switch on both sides of the switchbox that is
in the center of the ground level. This will open two secret doors
in this area. The jetpack is behind one of those doors. The other
door leads to the BFD-90.
Exit
The same switch that opened the room with the jetpack also
opens a room with a teleporter that lets Ox exit the first area.
It located next to a group of health power-ups. The teleporter
to the next level is located at the bottom of one of the large
rooms in the second area.
Core
Items
A gattling gun can be found in a semi-hidden room (the middle
extension in the 3D map) with a reflective marble floor. A flame
thrower can be found above this room at the very top of the level.
Exit
To leave the main section, fly to the top of the area to exit
the force field. Descend to the bottom of the level and look for
a pair of gun turrets that are guarding the interior of a ledge.
The ledge leads to a room that contains the teleporter.
Shuttle
Items
The drill is located inside a switch-controlled cargo bay
in the large floating shuttle craft in the second shuttle bay.
Exit
There are two secret doors facing each other in the corridor
behind the blob in the first area. The doors are a brighter brown
than the other walls. Once leads to the other side, the other
is a trap.
Another way to reach the other side is to break the wall with
the frying pan at the end of a dead end hallway. The wall will
break free, and your character will drift into space. Turn around
to view the entire ship. Find the shuttle bay and enter through
the atmospheric force field.
The teleporter to exit the level is located in a hidden room next
to the smaller shuttle. Face the wall opposite to the ramp that
leads to the small shuttle. Use the frying pan to break open the
wall. Follow the new passageway to find the teleporter.
Tombs
Exit
This level contains teleporter that will transport Ox to the
Spiral secret level. It is located around the corner from
the area that contains the large cache of ammunition. This location
is the far overhanging upper area on the 3D map located in the
first cluster of rooms in which Ox enters the level.
Spiral
Items
An Ammo Extender is located at the top of the spiral next
to the Jetpack.
Exit
Follow the spiral path all the way to the top and center of
this area to find the teleporter to the next level.
Power Plant
Exit
The teleporter to the next level will appear only after every
alien is killed. It appears on one of the platforms containing
table-like structures that are raised above the ground floor.
Pompous Medium Rare
Exit
As in Pompous, take the elevator in the starting area
to the room with multiple teleporters to leave this level.
Soleri
Exit
The teleporter will appear after all enemies on the ground
level are killed.
Ledges
Items
There is a drill in the room in which Ox begins the level.
There is a jetpack on a ledge close to the starting area.
Exit
The teleporter is located at the bottom of a series of ramps
in one of the square areas.
Alley
Items
There is a meat seeker at the end of a dead end path. A wailer
is at the end of another dead end path.
Exit
The teleporter is at the end of series of rooms that form
this level. The path that leads to it starts near the location
of the wailer.
Canyon
Items
An ammo extender is located inside the dome structure around
the corner from the exit teleporter.
Exit
Examine the 3D map when first starting the level. The dome
structure contains the teleporter. Use the jetpack to fly through
the canyons at high altitude and ignore all enemies. Try to move
towards the red planet in the sky. The path leading to the dome
has different wall textures than the rest of the level. It is
brown with horizontal bars overlaying a pattern that resembles
the letter X. The teleporter is located in the middle of the dome
structure, towards the bottom.
High Rise
Exit
Enter the building and listen for the music that originates
at an elevator. Take the elevator to the top of the level to find
the teleporter to the Rapa Nui. A hidden teleporter will transport
Ox to the Aclogo secret level.
Aclogo
Items
There is an infinite petroleum item directly below the starting
point in the level. There is an infinite petroleum item near the
"A" in the second area of this level. There is an infinite
health item in the center of the third (middle) area of this level.
There is a health extender in a hidden room in the center area
of the map. Shoot the lower left grate on one of the walls in
this area to open it. Then, approach the red wall of the hidden
room on foot mode to reveal the health extender. There is an infinite
health item at the dead end and at a corner in the passages in
the fourth area of this level.
Exit
A wall teleporter to the next area is located below the letters
"CHANNEL" in the first area. Use the path next to the
"Y", or the wall teleporter in the second area to get
to the next area, that is in the center of the map. Approach the
red wall in turbo foot mode in this area to open a path to the
next area. Jump through when the wall is open. Use the passages
in the fourth level to reach the dead end in the passageway. The
level teleporter will eventually appear in the chamber next to
the infinite health item.
Rapa Nui
Items
There is a missile-cam on this level above the entrance into
the pyramid in the second area. It appears along with the teleporter
at the end of the level.
Exit
Find the transport pillar on one of the three floating platforms
in the first area of this level. The pillar will emit a transporter
sound and symbols will flash on its surface when Ox approaches
it. Touch the pillar to be transported to the second area. Fly
to the interior of the floating structure. Some of the squares
on the floor are marked with symbols. Walk or land over each square
to raise them off the floor. One of the squares will not elevate
until all the others are triggered. Once the last square is raised,
enter the pyramid through the opening in the floor. Follow the
path until reaching the room with a hole in one wall. Use the
jetpack to hover in front of the wall and shoot the switch that
is visible through the hole. Once the switch is triggered, the
hole will enlarge, then shrink. Move through the hole when it
is widest to be transported to the third area. Move until the
path meets a ladder with a group of spikes at the top. Use the
jetpack to descend and kill the enemies at the bottom of the ladder.
There is a grid of symbols on the wall at the bottom of the ladder.
Shoot the lower left symbol. Shooting or touching any other symbol
will send Ox upward into the spikes. After shooting the symbol,
turn around and move forward to be transported back into the second
area. Destroy the robot in the interior of the floating structure.
The teleporter to the next level will appear on one of the squares.
Pompous Tartar
Exit
As in Pompous, take the elevator in the starting area
to the room with multiple teleporters to leave this level.
Gate
Items
There is a jetpack at a high platform that is accessed by
one of the winch driven elevators. A BFD90 is located at the lower
area below this elevator.
Exit
The jetpack cannot take Ox to the top of this level. Use one
of the winch driven elevators to reach an upper platform. From
here, take a sliding platform over to the transporter and jump
on top of it.
Tiryns
Items
A missile-cam is located in one of the blue rooms below the
structure in the corner of the level.
Exit
Kill all enemies in the first area, including those next to
the building in the corner. Some enemies may not appear until
some time has passed. Land on each of the elevated platforms.
Land on the blue platform that is over the gate surrounding the
building in the corner. When the gate disappears, enter the building
and navigate the tunnels below the building. A teleporter located
in an area that's radioactive will transport Ox back outside the
building. Ignore it and continue moving downward. The teleporter
to the next level is located at the last room at the bottom of
the tunnels.
Crystal
Items
A missile-cam is located at the starting point.
Exit
Trigger the switch located inside the series of open rooms
that are towards one end of this level. The teleporter will appear
near this location.
Island
Exit
Use the purple beam teleporter in the top of one of the structures
in the upper area to transport Ox to the first lower area. Navigate
through the end of the maze. Use the purple beam teleporter in
the room with moving yellow lights to transport Ox back to the
upper area. Use the purple beam teleporter that is below the same
structure that contained the first teleporter to transport Ox
to the second lower area. Find and shoot all glowing sections
of wall. Use the purple beam teleporter to transport back to the
upper area. The teleporter to the next level will appear in the
structure that contained several groups of power-ups.
Lattice
Exit
The layout of this level resembles a donut, with hidden room
five in the center:
Ox starts in room four. To reach the final room, switches that
are floating above the crystalline structures in rooms one, three,
seven, and nine must be flipped to the green position.
In order to access those switches, an additional switch in the
same room must be flipped to the green position. In room one,
the switch is inside one of the floating copper structures. In
room three, the switch is on the roof of the floating room. In
room seven, the switch is directly below the crystalline structure.
In room nine, the switch is at the bottom of one of the four structures
that resemble the Washington Monument.
After the four switches above the crystalline structures are flipped,
return to room four. The two structures that resemble the Washington
Monument will open at the top to reveal teleporters that transport
Ox to room five, the final room. In room five, fly to the large
stone face. The eyes, nostrils, and teeth are switches that must
be triggered to allow the teleporter to the next level to appear.
Puzzle
Exit
To go to another secret level, Ox must enter every room in
the level. As each room is entered, the corridor that Ox entered
from closes (each corridor can only be used once). Use the 3D
map to see where Ox has been and predict if closing a corridor
will block off other rooms. The diagrams at the beginning of the
level show a 2D version of the corridors that must be traveled.
Use it to plan Ox's moves. The teleporter to the next level appears
once Ox is "trapped" in a room. When Ox enters the last
room, the teleporter to the secret level Sketch will appear.
If Ox gets "trapped" before the last room, the teleporter
to Skyway (Final Mayhem) will appear.
Sketch
Items
There is an infinite energy item inside one of the tan cubes.
There is an infinite petroleum item inside one of the purple cubes.
A health extender will eventually appear below the flame in the
center of the level.
Exit
The teleporter to the next level will eventually appear above
the flame in the center of the level.
Skyway (Final Mayhem)
Items
There is an infinite energy item at the top of the rising
platform in the starting hallway.
Exit
Kill all enemies in the hallway and main area. Use the missile
cam to destroy the spiders. The teleporter to complete the game
will appear on the raised platform in the main area.


Noah's Ark... If it happened today
And the Lord spoke to Noah and said, "In six months I'm going to make it rain until the whole earth is covered with water and all the evil people are destroyed. But I want to save a few good people, and two of every kind of living thing on the planet. I am commanding you to build an Ark."
And in a flash of lightning, He delivered the specifications for an Ark. "Okay," said Noah, trembling with fear and fumbling with the blueprints.
"Six months, and it starts to rain," thundered the Lord. "You'd better have the Ark completed, or learn to swim for a very long time."
Six months passed, the skies clouded up and rain began to fall. The Lord saw that Noah was sitting in his front yard, weeping. ..... and there was no Ark.
"Noah," shouted the Lord, "Where is the Ark?"
"Lord, please forgive me!" begged Noah. "I did my best. But there were big problems. First, I had to get a building permit for the Ark construction project, and your plans didn't meet code. So I had to hire an engineer to re- draw the plans. Then I got into a big fight over whether or not the Ark needed a fire sprinkler system.
"Then my neighbor objected, claiming I was violating zoning by building the Ark in my front yard, so I had to get a variance from the city planning commission.
"Then I had problems getting enough wood for the Ark, because there was a ban on cutting trees to save the Spotted Owl. I had to convince the U.S. Fish and Wildlife that I need the wood to save the Owls. But they wouldn't let me catch any owls. So, no owls.
"The carpenters formed a union and went out on strike. I had to negotiate a settlement with the National Labor Relations Board before anyone would pick up a saw or hammer. Now we have sixteen carpenters going on the boat, and still no owls.
"Then I started gathering up animals, and got sued by an animal rights group. They objected to me taking only two of each kind.
"Just when I got the suit dismissed, EPA notified me that I couldn't complete the Ark without filing an environmental impact statement on your proposed flood. They didn't take kindly to the idea that they had no jurisdiction over the conduct of a Supreme Being.
"Then the Army Corp of Engineers wanted a map of the proposed new flood plain. I sent them a globe.
"Right now, I'm still trying to resolve a complaint from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission over how many Croatians I'm supposed to hire. The IRS has seized all my assets, claiming I'm trying to avoid paying taxes by leaving the country. And I just got a notice from the state about owing them some kind of use tax. I really don't think I can finish the Ark for at least another five years," Noah wailed.
The sky began to clear. The sun began to shine. A rainbow arched across the sky. Noah looked up and smiled.
"You mean you're not going to destroy the earth?" Noah asked hopefully.
"No," said the Lord sadly. "The government already has."
